I love shots like that - I just use a nice telephoto zoom and it gets in nice and tight like that.

I've got a hard drive full of star wheels and moon shots. LOL Never guess I was an amateur astronomer, hunh? Can't wait to dig out of my financial pit so I can get a nice 10" scope and a mount for my Nikon on it! Oh yeah!!

*moons the other contestants* How's THAT for a moon?! Hunh! YAAAA! Take a shot of THAT one!! YAAAA!!!! *wiggling hips*

Kim, do you have a tracker on your tripod, or did you just get the settings perfect? That sucker is CRISP...

Humph. Evidence would seem to indicate that it was skill, not luck.

What settings did you use for that one?

Orion ~ You expect me to remember that? LOL! I'm pretty sure I used manual setting on that camera... but I don't remember anything else about that shot!

Sorrowclouds ~ The FZ18 is one hell of a good camera... I love it! I now have added the Nikon D40x and D80 to my stable, and the Panny TZ5 more recently to replace my TZ1.

Nice! I have a Canon XTI and a Fuji Finepix E550. I would like to get one of those FX18's... have to save up some money :)

I've had 4 Panasonic Lumix cameras now...the FX8, the TZ1, FZ18 and my latest is the TZ5. I sold the FX8 and the TZ1, so now I have just the FZ18 and the TZ5. I'm really surprised that the FZ18 is still holding at $350 to $399. I would have thought they would be lower than that by now. I hope you're able to find one soon... it is so lightweight, but still takes awesome shots!
